For this puzzle the concept of a cross cube was applied to a 2x2x2. For some subjective reasons four of the six sides did not receive complete pieces but almost flat sector-like pieces. This does not affect the mechanism since the flat sectors and the bigger pieces can be exchanged while twisting. Links
