A face turning rhombic dodecahedron with fairly deep cuts.
Toru is a face turning rhombic dodecahedron and has therefore an axis system identical to an edge turning hexahedron. Like all puzzle with this axis system it allows jumbling turns. Performing only traditional moves (180-turns) keeps the puzzle in shape. Jumbling inevitably changes the shape of the puzzle.
"Toru" means "three" in maori. That refers to the fact that the cuts are deeper compared to the Rua and resemble the cutting pattern of a 3x3x3.
