The Rhombic Triacontahedron is for the dodecahedron what the rhombic dodeahedron is for the hexahedron: Cut down every edge deep enogh and you get this shape. In this case almost no truncating was used. Instead massive extensions were glued onto the pieces of a skewb. Only the corners were truncated before. The symmetry group of the axis system of the skewb is a subgroup of the rhombic triacontahedrons symmetry group. Therefore this puzzle will not change its shape. The rhombic triacontahedron is one of the catalan solids. Links
