A fishered 4x4x4.
The Fisher Cube is the most famous invention of Tony Fisher and one of the oldest puzzles transformations. Its principle is to truncate the puzzle into an octagon and afterwards extende 4 of the original faces by applying extensions. The result is a hexahedron with an axis system rotated about 45° within the cube.
The puzzle here is the application for the 4x4x4. The images 1-2 do not show the first sample but a later rebuilt version.
In 2014 a mass produced version "Yileng Cube" hit the market. This is shown in images 3-5.
Edge length: 62 mm
Weight: 165 grams
Another mass produced version without stickers "Shift Edge Cube" followed later. See images 6-8.
