Ths is a variant of Crazy 3x3x3 Plus with a mechanism of dynamic bandagings instead of the static bandaging of the eight Plus-variants.
In the normal crazy puzzles all faces are predefined and they either work as a 3x3x3 faces or as circle faces. In the Syzygy Cube it is no longer the case. The faces behave depending on the inner edge pieces and the orientations of center pieces. Whenever dotted pieces meet in a set of three dots lining up the face becomes a circle face. Otherwise it behaves as a 3x3x3 faces. Compare images 3 and 6.
