The inventor designed and 3D printed extensions he glued onto a mass produced 2x2x2.
Two corners (white/orange/blue and yellow/red/green) were designed with extensions so that the two can never neighbor each other. All other imaginable permutations are valid. You can think of it like a corners-only version of the Curvy Confusion Cube (variant 1).
