This puzzles is usually called "Minus Cube Puzzle" in Russian sources. It was produced in two different places: Moscow and Sverdlovsk (currently Ekaterinburg). Both variants have two-color cubes that are made of two parts (seen in the photograph). The difference was that due to slightly different schema of cubes placement within the box, the two variants have a different number of solutions.
