This is a puzzle proposed by the forum member Apsu, a big solver and a fan of the rhombic dodecahedrons.

If you want to visualize it better - if the puzzle was cubic it will be a hybrid of Curvy Copter III plus(unbandaged CCIII, a puzzle never made before) and Skewb. I may add a render of that hypothetical puzzle.

Another way to view the puzzle is as unbandaged version of Oskar's Rhomdo Transformer. You can see the differences in this picture
