Well, it's time to finally present this mega project of mine
But first watch the demo VIDEO
The developing process was documented at length in the WIP thread:
http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopi ... =9&t=32111
In a retrospect it turns out the puzzle was already made before. That is the brilliant Conermate II by arvinshu.
The only difference is I made the Pentagram cuts curvy so I'm exposing on the surface some pieces that are hidden in Conermate. I was always wondering before how at all this puzzle is possible and now by accident I have found the answer
The puzzle is not only possible but works better then all my other SLS puzzles.
The last thing I want to say is that I'm bulding a cubic transformation of Spartacus at the moment: http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopi ... =9&t=32416

Very beautiful cutting lines I must say! And that's all I know about this puzzle.... Must be very hard to solve!

Once again, I loved seeing this puzzle come together during our chat. Besides being a very impressive puzzle, it helped me wrap my head around the concept of shells. Kudos on an amazing final result!

Just want to add one thing - me and Evgeniy experimented an SLS print in place technique in this. Some elements in this version ware pre-assembled during printing. So we removed the need of using screws for the icosahedral axes. Now there are only a total of 6 screws for the entire puzzle consisting of 565 pieces.

That must have reduced the assembly time. Hopefully by a considerable amount. Cleaning and dyeing must be harder, though.
I like what grigr does. Making such monsters available.

It's truly gorgeous! In my opinion, the curvy cuts look nicer than straight ones.

Fantastic and beautiful!
I support that the curvy cuts make nice patterns!
